Black​-​capped chickadee, Earth Sanctuary

Chickadees are just the sweetest little birds! They are a constant source of joy and entertainment. Their songs are so simple and lovely. I didn’t know if I should try and tackle this lovely song but then one morning I found myself playing around with some ideas. To the main song I added a second bird doing the chicka-dee-dee-deeing, and also some guitar and synthesizer. I think it has a sweetness to it but listening to it, of course, is utterly unlike hearing one singing at the Earth Sanctuary on Whidbey Island, May 11 2021.
